Design Brief: To provide an efficient shelving solution to maximise storage capacity for tile samples.

Warehouse Storage Solution Overview: Having previously designed and installed Sarsen Stone’s new distribution centre in Melksham, Linear were once again invited to assist with this new project.

The need for this brand new bespoke system arose as a result of increasing levels of demand for tile samples and the need for a solution that worked for light, small mosaic pieces and larger, heavy stone samples.

After establishing our client’s requirements Linear designed and produced drawings for the project.

A bespoke pigeonhole shelving system turned out to be the ideal solution for storing the tile samples. The design is based on a longspan shelving system which maximises the loadings available. 15mm chipboard shelves were added as vertical dividers to create the pigeonholes.

Sarsen Stone were really pleased with the end result and commented that their team were really excited to start using the area.

The project went exceptionally well, from design through to install plus a really quick response to the snagging. The newly organised way of working will allow us to scale up the output of this department.
