We removed all low-level shelving and installed a rack support floor. This “infilled” the remaining floor space in the warehouse between the existing mezzanine floor and pallet racking. Using racking to support the floor ensured the ground floor storage was optimised.
Used racking was supplied which helped improve lead time and the free-standing shelving that was removed to make way for the new floor was relocated onto the new mezzanine floor.
Handrailing was installed on the edge of the new floor for safety. In addition, we laid a joining strip between the new and existing mezzanine floor to avoid any trip hazards.
The project was completed within three weeks of receiving the order. The work had to be carried out over the shortest possible time frame as new stock was due on site the following week. Consequently, the installation was completed in just 2 days, over a Friday and Saturday, allowing the client time on Sunday to relocate all existing stock and shelving ready for the new delivery of stock.
